an orchestration of study for alto saxophone & electronics for a soloist and large percussion ensemble with two double basses, configured as an immersive presentation, with the ensemble surrounding the audience. the orchestration exploits site-specific acoustic anomalies (specifically, 0’05” reverb tail for low frequencies). handmade rivergrass brushes and foraged riverstones are used by the ensemble accompaniment.
